Listen Linda, I went to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for my 35th year around the sun. Rio gave me mixed feelings. I am going back because I received a 10-year visa, but this will be a baecation and not a girl’s trips.!!!!! I absolutely love girl trips with my girl gang, but this is the first time I wasn’t feeling it. However, it was still a great trip especially when bae surprised me and showed up on my actual bday. Before I submerge into the fun, drink and excursions…let's get into my outfit!!!!
Looking oh so stunning in this cheetah dress, which is what I wore for my bday dinner. Definitely a show stopping moment.
Fun, Drinks and Excursions!
Day 1: We checked in to our hotel Grand Hyatt Rio. A resort hotel that overlooks a natural reserve with serene views and offers easy beach access, they offer on-site spa, sauna and pool, extraordinary restaurants and daily activities for fun and relaxation. The hotel was beautiful, but they have a lot of hidden fees, and you have to pay a daily resort fee. Just pay attention to your bill at check-out, I also want to point out that this hotel was further out from everything that we wanted to do. On the flip side of that though our uber rides were very cheap, we paid $10usd for an hour ride. I went on a slight rant hahahah…. Once checked in can you guess what I need… yyass food hunty, yall already know sis loves to eat. We decided that we weren’t going to leave the hotel our first day due to our 13-hour flight. We changed into bathing suits to enjoy the pool and food /cocktails at their on-site restaurant Canto.
Day 2: I woke up not feeling well. So, let’s eat some breakfast, gets some vitamin C in this body and a hot tottie. After breakfast a few of the girls enjoyed the sauna and I decided to just rest for the day so I could be ready for dinner at the floating restaurant Flutuante Rio. I am so happy that we found this restaurant on tik tok, a great experience indeed. Once you arrive you take a small ferry to the restaurant and OMG the views of the Sugar Loaf, the Statue of Christ the Redeemer and the bridge connecting Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi are in plain view. The food and drinks were okay, nothing to brag about, but the overall experience was great. After dinner I decided to call it a night because the next day was my actual bday.
Day 3: Wake up…… wake up, it’s shot’o’clock, I was anticipating this day because not only is it my bearthday but I am doing the Christ the Redeemer Helicopter Ride. First up let’s head to the market to buy some liquor, it’s turn up time!! I get back to hotel and I am at the elevator, and I hear happy bearthday PC!!!!! My mouth dropped at the voice I recognized... yyassssss bae in the flesh surprising me in Brazil, what a grand gesture. Honesty moment: while I was extremely happy bae surprised me, I hate the circumstances of the trip. I wasn’t feeling too well, and I wasn’t really feeling how things were going with the crew that I was with, but whatever we are in Brazil so let’s make the best of it. We headed to sugar loaf to experience Christ the Redeemer helicopter tour. This ride fulfilled my dreams to look at Rio De Janeiro from the sky, such a breathtaking experience. The flight was only 8 minutes, but it was worth every penny. It’s now time to get ready for my bday dinner at Marius Degustare, offering Brazilian and Mediterranean cuisine. Unfortunately, I am unable to give a review on this restaurant because I wasn’t feeling well and I didn’t have an appetite. I must say I loved the décor of the place and the little food I did indulge in was great. When I go back to Rio de Janeiro, I will be exploring this restaurant again. What I can tell you is that the way they serve their food is like Fogo de Chao. As stated, I was over the night so let’s get back to the hotel and regroup for the next day.
P.S Bae made my night better when we got back to the hotel 😊.
Side Note: you must take a cable car to sugarloaf and while there I got a tattoo after our helicopter ride.
Day 4: I think y'all know by now, I am a thrill seeker so I had to do something to get my adrenaline pumping, which will also help with my frustration. Time for Paragliding/Hang gliding The 15 min flight was so exhilarating, I enjoyed it from jump off to landing. The view over Rio de Janeiro was stunning and the experienced instructors are phenomenal. This excursion includes all your pictures and one video, they give you an option to buy more videos of different angles. After paragliding, we headed back to enjoy the beach which was all of amazing and I even got knocked over by the waves lls. At this point sand is all over us so it’s time for a shower and let’s go eat eat!! I really wish I could think of all the places we went to on this day after eating at spicy fish ( known for their Brazilian sushi), because this was by far the first time during my trip where I felt relaxed, I was having fun, and wasn’t frustrated. After spicy fish half of the crew bar hopped and had a taste of Rio’s night life. Baby let me tell you something they are not stingy with the liquor pours here. We were lit, one of us even had vomit moment…… oh and how can I forget this same night we experienced a DUI check point while in our uber back to the hotel. We were so scared… I had my camera out recording the entire time. I am here to tell the story today lol so, all was well hahahahah.
Day 5: We are finally going to the infamous Escadaria Selaron; locally known as Lapa steps. Each step tells a story, each tile a vibrant piece of Rio’s soul. You can climb to the top, and enjoy a drink at the café, this was such a beautiful breathtaking experience. Yup you guessed right, where the food at. We walked around and decided to stop at one of the local food spots to sit and really get a taste of some authentic Brazilian food and Beer. I am not a beer drinker, but I must say I enjoyed the Brazilian beer (Brahma & Black Princess)
P.S I always bring back a shot glass from the places I visit so I also used this as an opportunity to buy souvenirs.
Day5/6: As our trip come to an end, we chilled the rest of the day after the Lapa steps because we head to the airport at 4am. We ate, had a few more cocktails and enjoyed other amenities the hotel had to offer and prepared for our departure.

Phoenix, you owe me some warm weather, so I’ll be back lol. Before I submerge into the fun, food & family time…let's get into me and my daughter outfit!!!!
Baby girl is rocking denim dress from Zara and her new Kurt Geiger purse. Doesn’t she look so pretty 😊. Mama Bear is rocking a back cut-out blazer with some leather pants and let’s just say I was giving for the night. We stepped out for Christmas dinner in style.
Fun! Fun! & Family time!
Day 1 & 2: Two years ago, I promised my daughter we would have warm summer/destination Christmas. Our first destination Christmas was in Orlanda but this year we spent it in Phoenix. Our Airbnb was bomb!! The home offers 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, heated pool, game room and so much more. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful desert retreat. Since we were staying for close to four days, we went grocery shopping because one thing y’all know about ya girl is that I love to eat. Day 1 & 2 were pretty chill days we just admired the views from our Airbnb and enjoyed the many amenities that it had to offer. Honestly having some down time was much needed and not going out was top of the tier for me because y’all know my trips be litty.
Day 3: Merry Christmas!!!! I prefer beautiful experiences vs gifts, so the trip was the gift, but I did get my daughter a few things that she asked for. We woke up cooked a lovely breakfast, went to see the color purple and then got ready for Christmas dinner at Maple & Ash. Maple & Ash offers fine dining mixing a modern aesthetic with authentic service to deliver classic wood-fired dishes. I highly recommend the Branzino and the drinks OMG sssoooooo bomb.
P. S there is a business casual dress code.
Day 4 & 5 : Yyayyyy it’s time for Hot Air Balloon . Sooooo we were supposed to do it on Christmas Eve, but it was cancelled due to the winds and luckily, they were able to fit us in the day after Christmas. Hot air balloon was really the highlight of the trip so we would have been super bummed to not had this experience, but it all worked out. The ride was smoother than I thought, the experience was breathtaking, and the staff were very nice. After the ride we had breakfast in the desert and champagne. This is an excursion I encourage everyone to experience. The next morning, I just wanted to vibe out a little bit before catching our evening flight. So, I ended up sitting pool side and just taking in the beautiful Christmas we had in Phoenix.
My daughter and I needed this bonding time away from home. If you ever find yourself in Arizona try to book Hot Air Balloon.

Baby, Miami owes me nothing!!!!! I absolutely love girl trips with my girl gang, we are such a vibe. Of course, I have been to Miami several times, but being with my girls just hit a little different. Before I submerge into the fun, fun and more fun…let's get into my outfit!!!!
Looking oh so stunning in this pink dress from Shein, which is what I wore our first night to dinner. Definitely a show stopping moment.
Fun, Fun and Drinks.
Day 1: My flight was pretty early, so I took advantage of the time I had and worked out on muscle beach. First off, working out in the heat was no joke, but I survived it. We can now check-in to our air bnb Bluewater Miami, luxury vacation rentals. Bluewater Miami offers up to four bedroom condos located at the Grand in downtown Miami on the lovely Biscayne Bay. The best part is it’s 3 miles from South Miami Beach. This air bnb was soooo beautiful, the terrace with the outdoor furniture was elegant. The rooms were eclectic and the security was top tier, had a sista feeling protected like the president lol. I highly recommend their condos and I would gladly return on my next trip to Miami. It is now time to get ready for dinner with my girls at Jaya at the Setai. Jaya offers culinary diversity that exalts regional specialties from across Asia. Experience traditional tandoor oven delights alongside wok-crafted curries and take in live entertainment nightly. My crew and I were giving sex and the city vibes, looking all of ah-mazing. After an astounding dinner, we walked down Collins and Ocean just to sight see before heading back to our air bnb, because after day one, it’s team no sleep!
Day 2: Wake up…… wake up, it’s shot’o’clock, let me tell yall something, it was shot’o’clock when we woke up, before a shower, after a shower, intermission, before walking out the door lol. We specifically chose to come to Miami during this time for Sweetheat Miami which is known for their over the top, grown and sexy events and is Miami’s Utopia for Women. We wanted to see that the hype was about and experience the events, the location, the scenery, the Miami lifestyle. Oh, and the FINE ASS WOMEN. Yes, if I didn't make it known before …well now you know, I am a bisexual. We headed to the first event of the day, an outside day party hosted at Brick. Listen Linda, a time was had… do you hear me, we purchased a few bottles and hookah and that was all she wrote. The Dj was on point, everyone was dancing and having a great time, the energy was bomb. Let me tell you all the ass shaking that was going on… my goodness, the day party was definitely the highlight in regards to the sweetheat events. After all that drinking we needed food before we headed to the all black masquerade party. There were different shops and restaurants where our condo was located so we ate at Primo’s Italian restaurant and it was amazing. Exactly what was needed to soak up the liquor. Next up the all black masquerade party, this event was nothing like the day party, we were very underwhelmed and on top of that they ended up shutting the party down and we purchased a bottle smh. Guess what, that bottle definitely walked out with us.
P.S we ate at Primo’s twice, so you know it had to be good.
Side Note: There may have been some sneaky link action going on lol
Day 3: I was anticipating this day because I am going parasailing for the first time. I think y'all know by now, I am a thrill seeker so I had to do something to get my adrenaline pumping. The 15 min flight was so exhilarating, I enjoyed it from lift off to landing. They also offer a package with pictures that I recommend purchasing. After parasailing, a shower was needed and let’s go see what the strips looking like cuz umm we are trying to run into someone’s FINE ASS Daughter. But, first what time is it shot’o’clock and twer’o’clock before we head out. The strip didn't really live up to our expectations, apparently they close the beach now at 11pm but we made the most of it. We ended up at Wet Willies (known for their infamous slushy drinks) to grab some drinks and had some girl talk while enjoying the beautiful weather. We were so engulfed in our conversation that we didn't realize hours had passed us, at that moment we concluded we weren't quite ready to go back home yet so we extended our stay one more day.
Day 4: Chill day for us as we prepare our minds to go back home. While we decided to stay one more day, we just wanted to chill and enjoy our bomb condo. So we didn't have any plans, but you know what we did do….. yup shot’oclock and twerk’oc’clock in our condo. We ate, laughed, drank, twerked, talked and celebrated friendship. We did randomly decide to leave out and ended up at Duffy sports grill, this sports bar was so dope it had a pool literally in the middle of the place. I didn't have on a bathing suit, but I wanted to get in the water because that was the one thing I hadn't had a chance to do, so I got in with my panties and the top I had on. Sometimes you have to live a little or for me live a lot!!!!!! after enjoying the pool and a few drinks we called it a night and prepared for our departure.
P.S Find you a girl gang to enjoy life with :-). I love my crew.
